Marriage Preparation

At Bethany Community Church, we want to help couples prepare for their new life together. The Prepare/Enrich program provides premarital counseling and education in order to foster better understanding of yourselves and each other, develop relational and communication skills and, ultimately, a more solid and rewarding relationship.

Couples will meet with a trained Bethany Pastor for an hour and a half once a month for a period of four to five months prior to your wedding. The Prepare/Enrich program helps couples in achieving six major goals to build a stronger marriage.

Explore relationship strengths and growth areas
Learn assertiveness and active listening skills
Learn how to resolve conflict using the Ten-Step model
Help the couple discuss their Family-of-Origin
Help the couple with financial planning and budgeting
Focus on personal, couple and family goals

Cost for the Prepare program is $30 per session.

Wedding Coordinator

The wedding coordinator will help you with room scheduling, obtaining a pastor, discussing fees and policies, and answering questions you may have. Please call the church office at 480.831.5005.

Marriage License and Covenant Marriage

Call the Maricopa County Clerk of the Court at 602.506.3360 for info on marriage licenses. A Covenant Marriage is a covenant between a man and a woman who agree to live together as husband and wife for as long as they both live. Twelve hours of premarital counseling on the nature, purposes and responsibilities of marriage is required. To learn more about a Covenant Marriage see www.AZ.gov and look under Marriage Licenses.
